I first met Martin through a mutual friend at a motor racing event a good many years ago. I was immediately impressed; here was a person who lives and breathes cars, understands other people who love cars too AND also clearly understands how to deliver proper customer service.
Recently when it was time for me to move on from my much cherished Porsche 911 and also to source a new Defender there was nowhere else I was going to go other than to Martin and the team at Oscar Jacobs.
After years of buying cars through mainstream dealers I am tired of that ‘game’, I just wanted a more relaxed and enjoyable experience and not to have to get into the whole process of haggling and pressure sales for this thing and that! In short for someone else to do the hard work! Oscar Jacobs certainly delivered; a pleasant chat around the table with Martin who took time to understand what we wanted, a test drive in a Defender that they had in stock and an enjoyable hour on the configurator working out the best combination of colour, wheels and specification Martin seemed to instinctively know what I wanted and what was going to look good on the car. He also made a couple of suggestions, a clear wrap on the rear bumper to stop the dog from scratching it and some additional security all arranged by Oscar Jacobs. Everything agreed, the car was sourced with no further involvement from me other than to turn up and collect it when the appointed day arrived.
Parting with my Porsche was also less painful knowing it was going to someone who cares about cars as much as I do and somehow I just felt confident that if it was a customer coming to Oscar Jacobs it would be going to a good home! A deal was easily struck and I felt like I had been treated very fairly.
I would highly recommend Oscar Jacobs to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable car buying experience.
