The people in Maranello have most certainly moved the goalposts with the Portofino which is the successor to the Ferrari California. The Portofino has a more aggressive look, with a totally new front bumper which is more sculptured and sharper in appearance. The bonnet is more muscular with longer bonnet vents, but the “ piece de resistance” is the brand new headlights which has the stunning feature of having an air intake which allows air to flow through to the wheel arch and out again at the side intake.Once you sit in the all new magnesium light weight seat you will notice the steering wheel which is similar to the wheel in the GTC4 Lusso with its oval looks and having more buttons. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is a masterpiece, in automatic mode you never find yourself wanting to change up or down it is done for you with seamless engagement, if you want to be more adventurous you can use the paddle shifts to hold onto the acceleration longer or downshift quicker whilst the exhaust pops and crackles.
