When Audi released the RSQ8 in the first quarter of 2020 people knew that an Audi carrying the RS badge it was going to be a seriously quick vehicle, and needless to say Audi did not disappoint. The heart of the RSQ8 is a 4 litre V8 Twin Turbocharged 600bhp monster which in turn will take you to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds whilst sitting in luxury. Married to this superb power plant is a beautiful 8-speed automatic gearbox that handles all the fury and torque the engine throws at it. The legendary Quattro 4-wheel drive system keep the car firmly planted on the road whether it be on a winding country road or the motorway. The 4-wheel steering makes the RSQ8 feel nimble and easy to manoeuvre in tight carparks or threading through traffic. The engine has some ingenious ingredients such as shutting down half of its cylinders when the driving conditions deem it necessary. The Vorsprung edition focuses more on styling and luxury appointed interior, to give you an example such as Head-up display, Sliding Glass Sunroof, Heated and Massage seats to name just a few you start to get the picture that the RSQ8 is not only blisteringly quick but also luxury personified. As you get behind the Alcantara steering wheel, place your foot on the brake, press the start button the 4.0 litre V8 bursts into life giving a muted growl, the fantastic dashboard lights up and as your eyes look around the cabin you just know you are behind the wheel of something rather special. There are lots of setting available to configure your personal driving experience from comfort, to the most ferocious RS setting. Within the settings menu there is a G force monitor so you can witness for yourself how many G’s your passengers can take whilst in a straight line or cornering.
