When Aston Martin launched the DB11 in 2016 it had big shoes to fill, with iconic cars of the past wearing the famed DB badge. You can imagine lots of midnight oil was being burned by the designers and engineers at Gaydon making sure they got it right. Andy Palmer the Chief Executive at the time of the DB11’s launch said ” We want to aspire to make the most beautiful cars in the World” and at the unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show the DB11 did not disappoint getting fantastic reviews from Motoring correspondents throughout the World. The DB11 is a pretty car, but its not all looks and no bite, the flowing lines disguise clever aerodynamic additions that aid downforce and reduce drag. The DB11 is the first Aston Martin to use a downsized V12 from 6 litre to 5.2 litre, add 2 Turbochargers and the out put of 600bhp and a 0-62mph sprint of 3.6 seconds it certainly does have bite. Married to the power plant is a superb 8-speed automatic gearbox that handles all the horse power and torque that gets thrown at it. The interior is what you would expect from a prestigious brand as Aston Martin, the cabin is adorned with premium leather and all the controls are within easy reach. The ride quality is excellent soaking up any bumpy road it come across with ease.

The DB11 was designed and built to be a fast elegant GT Tourer and you can say the people at Aston Martin certainly achieved it.
